The Debate Is Over, and the Consensus Is That Romney Killed It.
Romney thinks so, too.
Is that really the consensus? Is that because most people expected him to shudder and vomit all over his own shoes after the first question and he didn’t? What I heard coming out of his mouth were Obama positions. Was Obama supposed to be polite and let Romney just hijack the democratic platform?
Obama’s biggest mistake was not just outright saying, “That’s funny, I’m hearing my policies suddenly fly out of your mouth. It’s as if the Mother Jones-released video tape made you forget your own platform, so you reached for mine.”
Are they not supposed to say things like that?
(BTW, loathe the idea that Romney’s waxy mug is going to be on my blog as a result of this reblog, but I’m going to make the sacrifice.)
You’re right about Romney but he won because Obama didn’t show up or call Romney out on your point and a number of other things. As Balk said:
You get a line like “you put your money where your heart is” and pass up a “Cayman Islands” response you’re either super-confident or done.

So he won not because he acted like an entitled asshole, but because Obama didn’t call him out on it?
