Lousy picture, I know, but you’ll have to believe me that it was fascinating to watch this column of bike cops casually press upon a group of protestors until the group was spread out so thin and long that the arrangement became one cop per protestor, walking side-by-side in a double-file procession. It looked like a village of cops and a village of protestors had come together to go on a massive, communal date. It was beautiful. —Tag
